Terms of Use

Last updated

These terms apply to your use of Indiehacker Studio (“Indiehacker Studio”, “we”, “us”) at indiehacker.studio. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.

What Indiehacker Studio is

Indiehacker Studio is a dashboard for people who run websites and web apps. You add a script tag to the sites you control, and Indiehacker Studio provides analytics, a chat bubble for support, feedback and bug reports, an inbox to answer them, and, if you connect Stripe, revenue metrics per project.

Plans and billing

  • Free has the limits shown on the pricing page (projects, pageviews and conversations per month), text-only messages and a small “Powered by Indiehacker Studio” line in the bubble.
  • Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription with higher limits and fair-use caps shown on the pricing page, attachments and screen recordings, Stripe revenue and no branding.

Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout and processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Monthly limits reset on the first day of each month (UTC). Over the pageview limit, new analytics events are not recorded until the next month; over the conversation limit, the bubble stops offering new conversations until then.

Your account

You sign in with your email and a password, or with Google. Keep your password secure: you are responsible for activity under your account. A plan is for one person.

Your sites and the script

You may install the script only on domains you own or are authorized to manage, and Indiehacker Studio only accepts data from domains you verify. You are responsible for your sites, for telling your visitors how you use Indiehacker Studio (for example in your own privacy policy) and for any consent your visitors’ laws require.

Your data and your visitors’ data

The data collected on your sites (analytics events, messages, attachments and the details visitors give) is yours. We process it on your behalf to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t sell it, don’t use it for advertising and don’t use it to train AI models.

If you connect Stripe, you give us a restricted key with read-only permissions. We use it only to read subscription data for your revenue metrics, store it encrypted, and you can disconnect it at any time.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Indiehacker Studio to:

  • collect data on sites you don’t control, or send traffic that doesn’t come from real visitors;
  • collect sensitive data (such as passwords, card numbers or health records) through the bubble;
  • send or host content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringes someone’s rights;
  • try to get around plan limits, rate limits or security, or access projects that aren’t yours;
  • resell Indiehacker Studio or run it as a service for others without our agreement.

We may suspend accounts or block domains that break these rules.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Indiehacker Studio available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted. The script is built to fail silently, so an outage on our side doesn’t break your pages. We may change or improve features and limits; we will tell you before a change that reduces what your plan includes.

Refunds and cancellation

Pro starts with a 14-day free trial, once per account: cancel before it ends and nothing is charged. See the Refund Policy: subscriptions cancel any time from your account.

Deleting data

You can delete a project, with its analytics, conversations, files and revenue data, from its settings. You can ask us to delete your whole account at any time.

Liability

Indiehacker Studio is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
